Welcome to the SS Suspension Kit.
In late 2007 GCM designed the popular EXarm Suspension Kit. This is a bulletproof basher suspension compatible with our reliable CVD kit for the the E-Savage truck. In 2008 GCM designed the race only ultra-light Delrin RacerEX Suspension Kit specifically for the RB3 platform, and now in 2009 we introduce to you the middle ground. Introducing the SS suspension Kit - 25% lighter than EXarm, bulletproof, and a lowrider race-oriented design offering improved handling and a whole new world of shock options.
The SS suspension is FULLY compatible on any HPI E-Savage truck and with our CVD kit. SS includes 4 lightweight heat-treated delrin upper arms and 4 fully machined aluminum lower arms and shock mounting hardware. Pictures shown in silver finish, but all kits are shipped in black anodize, just like the EXarm kits.



With the same track width as the popular EXarm suspension (+35mm), this suspension combination will prove to be a tough, wide and low setup ready to take anything you throw at it.
SS kits use a captive shock mount on both sides. This will allow you to sit your shocks INSIDE the lower arm and make a solid connection to get the bumps to the shocks where they belong. There are a wide range of mounting positions to suit your setup. With stock e-savage shocks you can expect to lower your ride by around 10mm, but if you use the new GCM Short Shock Tower, the ride height returns back to stock. There is lots of room to mount your aftermarket shocks on there, from 120mm to 150mm long there is a combination that will work for you. A shock-shortening tutorial can be found at this link. And for the LST shock users, you can simply mount your shocks on the outside of the arm with a long screw and your done. No spacers needed. The shock mounting area on the arm is just over 8mm wide, and can more than enough room for almost any shock end to fit inside.
SS suspension kits can be used to replace current EXarm equipped trucks. It's going to be a direct swap of parts. SS is available in the following ways:
1. Lower Arms Only; 4 lower arms ONLY, No Upper Arms
2. Swap Kit: 4 upper and 4 lower arms ONLY
3. Roller Kit: 4 upper, 4 lower arms, 4 CVD kit, NO TIERODS
We recommend using our BumpSteer Kit with this conversion.
The stock rear tierods will be used in the front of the truck and stock or new rear tierods can be used with our bumpsteer kit.
