The Road Boy line of chassis plates incorporates all your desires for your E-savage. The handling, jump control, and battery flexibility you have always wanted in one great design, and a 20mm extension built in to help your truck go where you want. Now you have available to you the ultimate upgrade. All Road Boy sets come with complete step-by-step instructions.

The Road Boy Custom Tray chassis is a masterpiece of flexibility and function. This TVP set will allow you to use battery trays such as E- maxx style, Twin Force style, pin style, Gorrilla Straps, or any other you can make up, to set up any battery configuration you need. Whether Li-Po or NimH, inline or stick packs, these Road Boy Custom Tray chassis plates will let you lock it on securely. And for the odd shapes or special sizes there are Velcro strap slots ready for use in 4 places centered around the ideal battery location. There's almost no limit to getting your electric supply on there safely.

The Road Boy Stock Tray Chassis on bottom in the picture above.

The Road Boy Stock Tray is a twin to the Custom Tray TVP and fully supports the use of stock E-Savage battery trays and battery tray clips.
This unique design incorporates the length, geometry improvements, and component placements of the Road Boy Custom Tray, but with the perfect placement of the stock battery and battery holder.
Below: This picture compares component placement with the Road Boy chassis on the left, and the stock E-Savage on the right. Note battery trays, motors, and wheelbase changes. What you can't see here: Revised suspension castor, lowered roll center, and lowered C of G. (Also shows prototype shock tower and Savage X shocks)

You'll love the roll improvement with the Road Boy. This TVP set will turn your E-Savage into a corner carving machine along with your well set up shocks and a quick steering wrist.
You'll notice immediately that your truck won't flip over so much in corners, the steering is more responsive, and the chassis reacts faster to steering input and correction.
One of my favorite things about E-Savage is the wheelies; the monster truck torque. Imagine a wheelie that goes for 50 feet and never hits the bumper! We have done this with an otherwise stock truck on demand. Your wheelie days are not over with this chassis, just more controlled, more refined.
Ever tried to power out of a tight corner with good traction and lost course? We loved the power out improvement with this Road Boy chassis geometry. Even after rear-lifting braking the chassis responds almost instantly to power out cornering with control and predictability.
Summary
For the time-conscious racer, this is the chassis for you. Just follow the included instructions and re-use the stock screw hardware and battery trays, or make up your own to suit and you are back on the track with huge handling improvements in less time than charging your packs! Both Road Boy chassis are available in selected anodized finish for long lasting good looks. Put the batteries to charge, install your Road Boy TVP's in Custom or Stock tray configurations, and hit the dirt.
