Modular 4 link and servo mount for AX-10 by GCM Racing.

The popular and very capable AX-10 rock crawlers by Axial Racing have taken over the world of R/C. Axial delivered a well made crawler with great geometry and a capable gearbox. GCM and many others are using this for a base to make even more cabable climbers with the addition of droop suspension, improved links and new mounting positions.

We have also found the need for more, smooth, bind-free travel when following the rocks. One way to help accomplish this is to convert the upper AX-10 'y' link to a dual-arm setup. The easiest way to mount your new upper links is with a new servo plate. We found that many setups are available with a horizontal mount, and many with a vertical mount, but none with both.

Here it is. It's a solid and space saving setup ready for action.

4link02

This new modular 4 link plate bolts directly to the AX-10 axle housing and uses the stock mounting hardware. The servo upright mounts also use the stock hardware and bolt right on to the Mod 4 link plate. Now to choose a setup that works for you:

The above horizontal mounting works very well on most setups. Be careful that if you have relatively short lower links, you may have binding on the top links when mounted this way. It's easy, and clean to use, but make sure your pinion angle and desired wheel travel can work well with no binding. If you use short lower links or have rod-end binding, simply mount the Mod post in place of the rod-ends, and use the vertical mounting position.

4link04

The vertical mounting position will let you have incredible wheel travel and big changes in pinion angle with no binding. You do NOT have to use any different upper links to use the Mod post. The same links can be used for the vertical OR horizontal mounting positions. This vertical position will move the center of motion for your suspension towards the pinion a great deal, which can also help with torque twist in some applications. The Mod post actually pins INTO the servo plate and then is attached from the bottom with the included screw. It's easy to switch from one setup to the other depending on your crawling performance. If you need to make changes, it's only a couple of screws away.

Only available in black anodize finish.
