Here's the GCM CrossCanyon 2.2 Scale Jeep Build Page.

Running on 2.2 rims, silver anodized beadlocks, and Hammer m3 tires.

In 2008, we found out the reason why so many are into the 'scaler' scene... It's incredible! The amount and quality of scale goods available now is great, and there are some really talented builders out there sharing their wisdom and skills to encourage us all.
GCM took on the Jeep scaler challenge with our Wrangler-10 build, and really enjoyed the way it looked and handled the rocks. No shelf queens here! The hardbody Jeep Wrangler is made by NewBright and we put it on the CrossCanyon 2.2 from GCM Racing, and used the running gear from the venerable AX-10 ARTR from Axial Racing. I'm pleased to say it is very capable on the rocks, using a full droop and medium internal TCS springs.

The equipment inside is as follows: Stuck to the inside of the front frame is the 3ch 2.4g RX with 2 sided tape. The gearbox is 14/86 and a 24v Johnson 600 motor stuck to a XL-5 ESC mounted on the front upper links. The battery is a 7.4v 5000MaH lipo mounted to the front shock spreader and the front body mount. We used Lipo-Alarm to keep up with the battery level, and it's a very long time coming before the battery is dead in this thing. It's still going after I'm tired.
The CrossCanyon chassis bolts right on to the Axial center skidplate, and we used the bent 101mm links in the front and 91mm long links in the rear on Axial ball ends. This gave us the 13.06 inch wheelbase we needed on the hardbody Jeep. The end holes on the CrossCanyon frame are in just the right spot for some delrin bumpers and body support. All in all, it's a great fitting and driving package.
