DesertBoy Platform Conversion Modifications:

All the Original DesertBoy kits will require you to make a motor plate change to your Flux setup. This is outlined below. The version 2 (all current DesertBoy kits) will not require any mods to install.

It's required to make a notch in the motor plate opposite the motor position. You won't have to remove the motor to do this mod.

DB ConMod

This little notch enabled us to use a very thin amount of front material on the original chassis version, but keep the strength all over the thing. It's space for a thin brace on the chassis right there. You can see the brace on the DB chassis plate opposite the motor. It's going up through the center of the large cutout on the front of the sideplate by the servo mount.

DB ConMod002

The esc easily mounts to the sideplate over the motor, and the RX can be mounted right on the servo for a clean and simple setup. If you are a mud runner or winter snow driver, it's easy to make a plastic bag cover to keep splashing out of this small front area and protect all your electrics from unwanted moisture or mud, and you cover the esc, motor, servo and RX in one single pass!
