CrossCanyon 2.2 Scale Crawler Chassis for AX-10 by GCM Racing.
The popular and very capable AX-10 rock crawlers by Axial Racing have taken over the world of R/C. We wanted to make a scale replica using this great platform with the addition of droop suspension and a hard body for realism and detail. That's how we created the CrossCanyon scale chassis. A dedicated AX-10 conversion chassis set that leaves room for some special custom work as well.
Our particular project is the Jeep 4 door Wrangler with a 13.06 inch wheelbase.. just the limit for our class of crawling. The CrossCanyon frame rails allow for a clean look and clean build for most 2.2 class setups from 11.25 to 14 inch wheelbase by using different lengths of suspension links, and one of the 2 upper shock mounting positions.
We had used the very nice and well designed X-Trail chassis on our Jeep build previously, but found that there were some redundant holes on it and it was a bit short for our long Jeep body as well as many lexan truck bodies commonly used in crawling and scale truck building. The CrossCanyon frame rails are longer than the X-Trail and have just the gearbox holes you need to mount the AX-10 gearbox, upper and lower links, and a pair of shock mounting holes to use, so there are no extras hanging around to keep the clean scale look. The rear and front of each frame also has duplicate bumper mounting holes, just in case the frame is a bit long for your particular body. This way you can simply trim one end or the other and get the exact length you need without loosing your bumper mounting holes. Got a long flatbed or a 4 door? Moving to a 2 door pickup body? Simply trim the long end, and re-mount your bumpers and keep on truckin'.

All frame rails are anodized black and carry the CrossCanyon logo.
